Weather Protection & Long-Term Durability
Since the run is made of wood and stays all year outdoors, we strongly recommend applying stain, paint or lacquer. This protects the structure from rain, sun, and long-term wear. A base coat is applied at the factory, but you should always add a finishing coat for full outdoor protection.
Small marks or scratches may appear during transport — a quick touch-up before sealing the run is normal. You can even purchase the brand’s original stain and match the colour perfectly.
Predator Safety & Anchoring
For extra protection, anchoring the Walk In Run Extension is essential. A simple ground stake on each side works well, but you can add pavers or predator-proof kits for more security.
